• Family counseling, parent skill-building, and behavioral support

For children and adolescents (ages 5–20) at risk of out-of-home placement or hospitalization.

Our Founding Story

  • Marage Samalya

    In loving memory of Marage Samalya, brother of founder Sukiea, whose journey with mental health challenges inspired the creation of Marage Homes. After his passing, Sukiea and Ferhat Kakouche dedicated themselves to building spaces that provide care, support, and opportunity for those who need it most. Marage’s legacy lives on in every program and act of compassion, guiding the organization’s mission to uplift and empower vulnerable individuals.

  • Ferhat Kakouche

    In loving memory of Ferhat “Coach K” Kakouche — devoted husband, father, mentor, and visionary. Born in Algeria, he came to the U.S. with big dreams and a tireless work ethic, dedicating his life to helping others and building community. Ferhat and his wife founded Marage Homes to create safe, empowering spaces, and though his life was tragically cut short, his spirit, love, and legacy continue to guide this mission.
